Dogs Available for Adoption

PurposeFull Paws strives to keep all of the dogs we train in our program, but at times, it becomes necessary to release a dog.  While many of these dogs are adopted within our network of donors, business partners and volunteers, we will consider qualified individuals and families.

PurposeFull Paws acquires most of our dogs through reputable breeding programs.  Following careful evaluation, we may acquire dogs through rescue, donation by individuals and through release from other training programs.  As a result, dogs available for adoption placement may vary in  breed, size, color and temperament.

Adoption placements are not made on a first come, first serve basis but through careful matching of a dog with an applicant/living situation.  PurposeFull Paws reserves the right to determine where each of our dogs are placed based on their needs and temperament. We will request an adoption fee specific to each dog and will disclose the reasons for their release from Assistance Dog work.

It is our preference to do home visits prior to adoption placements so applicants should be located no further than 150 miles from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.  Any exceptions will be determined by our Executive Director.

If you would like to be considered for an adoption placement, please email PurposeFull Paws at PurposeFullpaws@gmail.com and ask for our adoption application.  Your name will be added to our waiting list upon receipt of the completed application.
